William Lieberman is the Founder and Managing Partner of The CEO’s Right Hand, a New York-based consulting firm providing comprehensive strategic, financial, and operational advice to founders, CEOs, and executive teams.
With over 30 years of entrepreneurial experience, William has built, scaled, and sold multiple successful businesses across diverse industries. His career spans roles as Chairman, CEO, CFO, and trusted advisor, giving him a unique perspective on the challenges business leaders face at every stage of growth.
William’s entrepreneurial journey began in the 1980s when he launched Trisoft, a computer consulting and software firm, while still in college. After earning his BS in Computer Engineering from UC San Diego and dual Masters degrees in Business Administration and Computer Science from UCLA, he worked at Bankers Trust in investment banking before co-founding Capital Markets Research (CMR), a financial analytics company.
In 1998, William co-founded Xtiva Financial Systems, a financial technology company that grew from startup to over $10 million in revenue with 100+ clients. Under his leadership, Xtiva made the Inc. 500/5000 list three times and the Deloitte & Touche Fast 50 ranking. He successfully led multiple capital raises, including a Series A round from a Fortune 100 strategic investor, and secured multimillion-dollar enterprise contracts with major financial institutions.
After selling his stake in Xtiva in 2014, William founded The CEO’s Right Hand, which has since helped hundreds of businesses raise capital, scale successfully, and achieve profitable exits. His firm specializes in providing fractional CFO, M&A advisory, and HR consulting to small and mid-sized companies.
The firm’s approach combines deep financial expertise with practical operational experience, allowing the team to translate complex financial concepts into actionable strategies for business leaders. As “quick studies” who can immediately grasp the fundamental drivers in any business model, his team helps CEOs build the infrastructure necessary for sustainable growth while avoiding costly financial missteps.
