John Dalton
CFO Consultant
Mr. Dalton is a consulting CFO with extensive experience in financial operations, advisory services, and business development.
His career includes leadership roles with Big 4 professional services firms performing audit, M&A due diligence, SOX compliance, and finance transformation services, with a particular emphasis on the communications, media, and financial services industries.
Additionally, he has 15+ years of global financial leadership and business partnering roles with American Express and AIG and as head of financial operations for an Alphabet portfolio company. His career started in B2B sales and product management with AT&T.
Following his extensive corporate career, John most recently has been advising startups and entrepreneurs through both his own business advisory firm and as a mentor with SCORE, which is affiliated with the Small Business Administration.
John leads with his heart and has proven to establish business relationships based on trust. He prides himself on his ability to lead global teams and has created unique employee development, mentorship, and training programs during his career. He is a strategic advisor with a ‘roll-up the sleeves’ execution approach.
John obtained his MBA in Finance from the NYU Stern School of Business and a BA in Political Science from the University of Richmond. John is a CPA and a Six Sigma green belt.
