Joanne Higgins
Senior Controller
Joanne Higgins has over twenty-five years of accounting and finance experience, including five years in public accounting at two “Big 4” accounting firms. More recently, she has enjoyed being an interim or fractional controller at various-sized businesses spanning multiple industries.
Joanne is a finance and accounting expert who helps businesses navigate complex financial situations while performing any clean-up efforts necessary when she comes on board. She is well versed in ensuring the preparation of financials in accordance with GAAP/IFRS and has managed many related responsibilities, including:
- Conversions of cash to accrual accounting.
- Implementation of policies & procedures.
- Process improvements.
- The monthly close cycle and related reporting.
- Cash management.
- Internal controls.
- Audit & tax-related matters.
She earned an MBA from the University of New Hampshire, Whittemore School of Business & Economics, and a Bachelor’s in Business Administration from Trinity College.
