Alex Selmani is an accomplished Senior Financial Executive with more than 15 years of experience, including over 8 years running finance departments for companies across varied industries and markets. He is known for being a high-energy, inspirational people leader, with an entrepreneurial attitude and a growth mindset.

Alex is an astute negotiator and very experienced with M&A activities and capital raises. He led two successful exits and several successful funding rounds and has worked with both start-ups and well-established companies. A results-oriented achiever with an excellent track record for identifying opportunities for improved financial analysis, reporting, and strategic leadership, Alex is a key partner with all business units, helping to educate and infuse the finance angle into their decision-making. His experience includes the following:

• Member of the interview process for key leadership roles
• Trusted advisor to the Board of Directors, CEO, CFO, and Business Unit VPs
• Strong knowledge of both Canadian and US GAAP, as well as, setting up international offices
• Relationship building with all business units, infusing the finance angle into all their decision-making.
• Simplifying and improving financial reporting, so leaders can focus on growing the business

Alex earned a Bachelor of Commerce, Accounting from Ryerson University.
