Stephen Lerch is a proven finance leader and business driver with over 20 years in the c-suite at both publicly traded and private equity sponsored mid-sized companies. He has served primarily as a CFO with technology enabled companies in the health care (HCIT), financial services and business services industries and has also held the title and responsibilities of COO and divisional SVP, GM. Prior to that, Stephen was a Business Assurance Partner with PriceWaterhouseCoopers (PwC) where he worked with a broad array of manufacturing, health care, oil and gas, real estate and not for profit clients. More recently, Stephen has consulted on a number of projects ranging from M&A buy-side due diligence with a large investment bank to developing business and operational plans as well as capital raising for early stage entities.
Stephen’s background demonstrates a unique blend of financial acumen with operations and sales management experience. As a CFO, his oversight included finance and accounting, strategic planning, treasury, human resources, information technologies, facilities, and legal functions. He has negotiated and closed numerous bank facilities, structured securitizations and other equity based capital expansion transactions He has led both the due diligence and post-integration process for a number of acquisitions as well as worked the sell-side of M&A. He has also been integrally involved with his CTO/CIO colleagues in the planning, funding and development of various technology initiatives.
From an operations perspective, Stephen has had management oversight over sales, customer service and account management, credit and collections and the building and development of a consulting unit. In his SVP, GM capacity, he had full P&L responsibility for the largest division of a SaaS based HCIT organization and led the introduction of a new product line.
Stephen is a graduate of the University of Notre Dame with a BS in Accounting. He was a long standing CPA in both Pennsylvania and North Carolina.
