Shannon Little – Controller

Shannon Little is a Controller bringing more than 20 years of accounting experience and expertise to every business she works with. Her career includes several years in public accounting, followed by time spent with a Fortune 50 company and the second largest banking institution in the country. 

Shannon has extensive knowledge in a variety of industries including start-ups, e-commerce, real estate, service and construction. She works to analyze the needs of a business from a qualitative perspective, recommending and implementing policies and procedures that enhance operational efficiency. Shannon helps companies implement new software platforms including Bill.com, Expensify, Webgility, Gusto and other commonly used financial applications. 

Ms. Little works to build internal control processes that are easily maintained as a company continues to grow. She works closely with internal and external teams to ensure that all of the financial needs of a company are met.

Shannon began her career as a bookkeeper and progressed to the role of Controller. She understands exactly how a company’s financial activities need to be presented, and is knowledgeable in what the users of those financials are seeking. Her experience as a bookkeeper, delving deep into the day-to-day activities of a business, allows her to thoroughly analyze the AP, AR and the banking processes of a company. She has in-depth experience in inventory management and reconciliations. Her experience in the e-commerce industry guides her through the online shopping platforms such as Shopify and Amazon. Shannon has successfully helped many companies navigate through M&A, diligence and fundraising activities. 

Shannon received her BA in Accounting from Lenoir-Rhyne University, Hickory, North Carolina. She splits her time between North Carolina and New York City.
