Robert Judge – CFO Consultant

Robert “Bob” Judge has 20+ years’ experience as a CFO in growth oriented, privately held businesses principally with manufacturing, distribution, and cannabis industries. After earning his MBA, Bob’s career kicked-off with eight years at KPMG (then Peat Marwick) where he rose to senior manager in the middle market practice, specializing in financial audits, SEC/IPO filings and M&A transactions primarily for industrial and technology clients.

To date, Bob has been involved in over 15 M&A buy-side and sell-side transactions, including bolt-on acquisitions, business exits, and commercial real estate sales. As part of the growth of a regional coatings manufacturer, he integrated two strategic acquisitions in 18 months performing all the financial due diligence, transaction modeling, and post-acq integration. For a family office, Bob pursued new operating business acquisitions while divesting a portfolio of hospitality assets. Most recently, Bob was responsible for the acquisition of a leading national science conference including drafting the LOI, due diligence and purchase agreement.

In 2008, Bob established Pine Valley Management, LLC to provide fractional CFO advisory services, financial & accounting expertise, sell-side support, and strategic guidance to start-up, small and lower middle market companies. Work for client companies included exit preparation, audit support, cashflow and budget modeling, ERP project management, staff mentoring and internal controls improvements. Client businesses covered a range of industries including aerospace parts manufacturing, CBD products manufacture & distribution, solar systems installation and HVAC services.

Most recently, Bob was SVP Administration of Anne Holland Ventures, the global leader in media and events serving the cannabis industry. At AHV, Bob worked to solidify the financial and accounting competence, build the IT capabilities into a company strength, and managed a strategic acquisition.

In the role of President & CFO of Lane Pursuits and Lane Industries, a family office holding company with over $200 million of invested assets, he oversaw the performance of investments in commercial real estate, hotels, and agricultural operations. As CFO/COO of Timberline Industries, a $70 million group of value- added industrial distribution and steel service center businesses, Bob’s was pivotal in leading the company through the 2001 9/11 recession, profitability enhancement efforts, growth strategies and ultimately the sales of four of the businesses.

Bob holds a CPA, an MBA from the University of Connecticut and a BS in forest resources management from the State University of New York. Currently, Bob serves on the boards of the Mountain Area Land Trust and Clear Creek County Open Space Commission.
