Rich Ruggeri is a seasoned C-level executive with 30+ years of diverse experience assisting clients at all levels in reaching optimal financial health. He specializes in financial process automation, cash flow management, planning, budgeting and banking relationships. His journey started swiftly upon graduation from Rider University, where he began honing his accounting skills in cost accounting for Fortune 500 companies.
At BASF and Mallinckrodt, he was the youngest accounting professional to achieve manager and controller level. At ADT, Rich automated the month end process, reducing the closing process by several days. His Fortune 500 experience gave him a deep understanding of the importance of the processes of budgeting, planning and accountability. His roots in these manufacturing and distribution companies gave him a deep understanding of budgeting and planning processes, and accountability.
After thriving in the corporate sector, Rich launched a business consulting firm focused on teaching small to mid-size companies the successful business habits of the Fortune 500 world. Since 2005, he has guided a multitude of firms in achieving efficient profitable growth.
As Acting CFO in several bankruptcy cases, including the high-profile Fred Leighton Jewelers $180M bankruptcy, he uncovered fraud by the company owner and worked with the DOJ in prosecution. Contracted to provide leadership to a $25M international manufacturing firm with 275 employees, he orchestrated a spin-off from the parent company as part of a divestiture of family assets.
Additionally, Rich served as COO\CFO of Rapid Molded Products and coordinated asset-based lending for a $10 million facility and established the entire management team and business processes. He was also retained by a PE firm to be an equity participant CFO for a $25M manufacturer, where he managed cash flow successfully, in spite of seller fraud and significant legal costs.
Most recently, Rich has been leveraging Traction and EOS to help clients establish accountability in business processes. In fact, he has served as Fractional CFO for several business trades, including import distribution (Nicolet Watch) , domestic distribution (DCI Tech -HP computers), furniture manufacturing (Gar Products) and commercial HVAC service (Encon Mechanical).
