Kristy Stephens is an accounting expert with over 20 years of experience in creating meaningful financial reporting, leading strong accounting teams, and improving the accuracy and efficiency of accounting systems through process improvement.

Previously, Kristy worked for a Fortune 50 company as Senior Finance Director, overseeing process improvement, internal controls, and managing budgets ranging from $1M to over $80M. Kristy also works for a variety of industries as a fractional Controller, helping to provide meaningful financial reporting to drive profitability and business growth.

One of her most meaningful roles to date has been as Controller for Community Food Bank in Fresno, CA. During her time there, she was a core member of the leadership team focused on strategically increasing food distribution to the community, leading to doubling distribution in two years and increasing grant funding by over $200k. Additionally, Kristy led the accounting team in obtaining the first clean external audit on record for the non-profit organization by focusing on building receiving and distribution processes, creating a system to reconcile inventory, and developing accurate product costing for $28 million of inventory annually.

Kristy graduated from Fresno State with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and obtained a Master of Business Administration at California State University, Dominguez Hills.
