Dan Holmes is a seasoned executive with diverse industry expertise and over 30 years of management and business planning experience in Fortune 500, mid-market, and early-stage companies.
Before becoming a CFO Consultant, Dan served as Chief Financial Officer for several startup businesses providing business planning, financial management, and fundraising expertise. In 2015, Dan took Solegear Bioplastics Inc. (now Good Natured Products Inc. – TSX.V: GDNP) public on the TSX Venture Exchange. Prior to this, Dan was Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Ascent Media’s Creative Services division, a US$250 million division providing video and audio post-production services for feature films, television shows, and commercials.
Dan started his career at Oracle and, following business school, held senior finance positions at the Walt Disney Company, Carparts.com, and Candle Corporation (acquired by IBM). Throughout his career, Dan has partnered with senior executives and CEOs to establish and direct business planning activities and oversee their operational execution. Dan brings a wide breadth of industry knowledge from his experience in professional services, consulting, software, consumer internet, retail, and creative media organizations.
Dan earned his Bachelor of Arts degree with honors in business administration from Principia College and holds an M.B.A. from the University of California, Los Angeles.
